RECEPTIONIST:
 
Responsible to the Office Manager. Administrates daily office operations including customer relations, incoming samples, and outgoing results reports. .
 

QUALIFICATION ->
 
  • Possesses a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Utilize effective respectful and productive communication throughout the workplace.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES ->
 
  • Performs daily office operations, including customer relations, incoming samples, and outgoing results reports.
  • Monitor and review the website and email accounts.
  • Maintains the office regarding supplies and cleanliness.
  • Works with sample collectors and shipping room staff to prepare outgoing supplies as needed.
  • Will be present and participating in all staff meetings and internal audits.
  • Primarily responsible to answer phones and disseminate messages.
  • Assists with sample collection scheduling.
 
STAFF TRAINING ->
 
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Sample Receiving including required holding times.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Quality Control with respect to reporting data and sample receiving.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in customer relations.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of office procedure manuals and Standard Operating Procedures in the office areas..
 
 
LABORATORY ASSITANT:

Responsible to the Laboratory Scientist. Facilitate and support the Scientists with tasks, set up, and clean up for daily, weekly, and monthly duties.    Prepares samples for analysis, under supervision of the scientists.

QUALIFICATION ->
 
  • Possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES ->
 
  • Assists laboratory staff in the performance of analytical tests by preparing test samples, cleaning and preparing equipment, cleaning work areas, and keeping them supplied with equipment and chemicals.
  • Operates and maintains such equipment as autoclaves, filters, pH meters, balances, pumps, microscopes, and spectrometers.
  • Prepares reagents, chemical solutions and culture media according to standard formulas.
  • Monitors gauges and temperatures to insure quality.
  • Maintains accurate records and labels products.
  • Prepares samples for analysis.
  • Delivers samples to the appropriate laboratory.
  • Cleans and prepares glassware and other laboratory equipment using cleaning solutions such as Nitric |Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Acetone, laboratory soap.
  •  Performs related work as assigned.

STAFF TRAINING ->
 
  • Work in a learning capacity, on-the-job training capacity, with close supervision.
  • Increased responsibilities with developing skill levels.
  • Required to demonstrate proficiency in both chemical analyses and microbiological procedures conducted in the laboratory as outlined in the TYPE OF QUALITY CONTROL section of the Quality Assurance Plan. 
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of the wash room manual including the types of glass/plastic-ware and their cleaning protocol.
  • Show acceptable IDOC for Conductivity/Daily Reagent Water Check procedure.
  • Show acceptable IDOC for operation of autoclave.


SAMPLE COLLECTOR:

Responsible to the Collecting & Scheduling Department. Collect various water samples and deliver collection materials as scheduled for daily, weekly, monthly and annual samples. Keep the vehicles in a clean, organized, well stocked manner.
    
QUALIFICATION ->
 
  • Possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of sampling requirements, frequencies, compliance, preservation, and holding times.
  • Maintain clean presentable appearance, including obvious lab ware and ID badge.
  • Must pass initial drug screening and will be subject to random drug testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES ->
 
  • Facilitate scheduled sample collection, adhering to compliance schedules and requirements.
  • Exercise flexibility in interjecting customer collections to existing collection routes in a cost effective and strategic manner.
  • Prepare supplies and materials for collection.
  • Accurately follow outlined collection schedule, adhering to collection times, holding times, and preservation techniques.
  • Demonstrate appropriate selection of sampling taps and points when necessary.
  • Maintain a cordial respectful attitude with clients and customers at all times.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
  • Keep and maintain clear and accurate records.
 
STAFF TRAINING ->
 
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of compliance monitoring requirements, including type of tests, type of sampling containers, and preservatives as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of sampling protocol with all types of sample collections, sample labeling and self-sanitation.
  • Have solid working knowledge of simple tools and basic sampling equipment, exercising safety protocol.
  • Clearly provide field information to the receptionist or scheduling team to ensure proper sample collection.
  • Have a working knowledge of general vehicle maintenance such as filling with gas, oil, changing a flat tire, using a car wash. 
  • Keep clear and current records in the field.  

 
UTILITIES:
 
Responsible to the Laboratory Technician. Support the staff with tasks, set up, and clean up for daily, weekly, and monthly duties.  
 
QUALIFICATION ->
 
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent OR is currently enrolled in an educational system.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES ->
 
  • Assists laboratory staff in the preparations of analytical tests by preparing test samples, cleaning and preparing equipment, cleaning work areas, and keeping them supplied with equipment and chemicals.
  • Operates such equipment as filters, pH meters, conductivity meters, balances, pumps, autoclaves, and microscopes.
  • Monitors gauges and temperatures to insure quality.
  • Maintains accurate records and labels products.
  • Delivers samples to the appropriate laboratory.
  • Cleans and prepares glassware and other laboratory equipment using the appropriate protocol as outlined in the washroom manual.
  •  Stocks and restocks work stations throughout the building.
  • Assists the Shipping department by assembling sampling kits and materials
  • Performs related work as assigned.
